Job Description
Azimuth Systems, a leader in wireless data communications test, has an immediate opening for a Senior / Principal RF engineer.
Responsibilities:
The candidate will be responsible for RF architecture and design of wireless test products. They will be involved in all aspects of the RF product development including architecture, specification, simulation, layout, design verification and introduction into manufacturing. Responsibilities will also include driving the projects and programs with an overall systems / customer use focus.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 8 or more years of design and development experience with RF products and systems.
- Design of circuits and systems in the operating frequency range of 2 to 6 GHz.
- Design experience using RF discrete components as well as RFICs, RF shielding, amplifiers, synthesizers, signal conditioning, filters, transmission systems, antennas and PCB layout.
- Use of RF Simulation tools
- Developing and releasing products to manufacturing. This will include experience with schematic entry, PCB design, manufacturing methods, emissions testing, regulatory and all steps necessary for a successful launch to manufacturing.
Experience with the following is a plus:
- Strong background with data communications
- Experience with 802.11, 802.16, 3GPP
- Experience with DSP, wireless transmission and channel models, digital communication will be very helpful
- Digital design skills, such as FPGA, ASIC, bus architecture will be a strong plus.
